Who owns Long of Chattanooga?

Nelson Long partnered with Andy Trotter in 1976 in what was then a Pontiac, Fiat dealership on Broad Street. Prior to that time he had served as a Captain in the US Army, earned a Masters Degree, and worked in several sales and management positions in auto dealerships. Working with some of the finest professional in the automotive industry, Nelson Long has continued to grow and build. Long Automotive has successfully weathered downturns in the economy and has taken advantage of every good opportunity for growth. The dealerships consistently place among the highest in the nation for customer satisfaction. Nelson believes that being active in one's community is a matter of paying one's "community dues". In doing so he has served on numerous boards. Some of those positions are past chairman of the Salvation Army, the Explorer Boy Scouts, and the First Presbyterian Church Deaconate. We have very many ten, twenty, and thirty year employees and very many customers who have done business with us for many, many years.
